Branding and custom website build for a branch of a Catholic organisation in the UK
The client is a branch or 'Circle' of a larger social organisation comprising of catholic members. The organisation focuses on 'family, friendship and fun' while also being committed to fundraising activities and events.
The client approached us asking for a new website that would appeal to those aged 25-40. The website would be simple yet promote the Circle, while including a restricted 'members only' area where users, upon logging in, could view information about upcoming events, their profile information and internal contact information.
After planning the website with the client over several weeks, we decided on a brannding direction using bright, vivid colours to engage potential users. Some licenced stock imagery was be used to. maximise visual appeal.
We built a custom theme from scratch for the website using Wordpress as a content management system and set up the members area using some custom PHP, rather than over bloating the site unnecessarily with plugins.
As part of the initial launch we carried out an on-page SEO tasks such as image compression and server caching. We also helped the user set up tools to monitor and measure traffic metrics and the health of the site.
The user is able to edit and manage the website content themselves, with security and plugin maintence being carried out by us on an ongoing basis.
The website has been a success and has been in service now for almost two years with a steady increase in member applications. The member area has since expanded to include galleries and member related news.
We built the website and integrated into Wordpress so the client would be able to add, edit and remove content.
Wordpress made the website future-proof as the client may wish to expand the features of the site.
Password restricted pages that can only be viewed by logged in users. There are currently more than 20 users who have access.
Section for logged in members to view recent announcements by the organisation.
